Electruepart Defrost Timer
1 in stock
* Also Known As: Programmer
* Freezer Defrost Timer
* Equivalent: Paragon Timer Type TY-2001
* The defrost timer in your freezer is a mechanical device that controls the defrosting cycle.
How the defrost timer works?
The timer runs continuously and roughly every six hours cuts power to the cooling system and sends power to the defrost heater. In newer freezer models the timer advances only while the compressor or defrost cycle is running. As the timer continues power to the heating element is cut and power is restored to the cooling system.
If the timer for your appliance has become faulty then your freezer will be stuck either in defrost or refrigerate mode resulting in no cooling or frost build-up.
Suitable for select Electrolux Tricity Tricity Bendix and Zanussi models.
